Trust as a key object of control in cognitive wars

The article is aimed at developing a systematic understanding of trust as an object of management when waging cognitive wars. The study is based on the hypothesis that with the growing complexity of identifying the truth of information against the backdrop of exponential growth in its volume, as well as the complexity of information technology, the most adequate countermeasure may be the trust of subjects of information interaction. The presence of such a hypothesis dictates the need to consider the phenomenon of trust as an object of management, as well as existing and promising mechanisms of influence on trust. The article structures the main factors influencing the formation of social trust and systematizes the idea of the types of objects of influence when waging a hybrid war. Based on the analysis of the results of research into the phenomenon of trust and the factors influencing it, a structural diagram of information management of trust is presented, where social trust is shown as the object of management, and informational and cultural aspects of the formation of trust are selected as regulating elements. The article also identifies groups of goals, objects and groups of indicators of negative information impact on trust factors, and proposes approaches to identifying the presence of such impact. The example shows that modern information technologies are an effective tool for influencing the level of trust between people, due to the intensive impact on the cognitive sphere of a person.

Vulnerability or resilience? Examining trust asymmetry from the perspective of risk sources under descriptive versus experiential decision.

The investigation of trust vulnerability is important to the understanding of the potential mechanisms of trust formation and erosion. However, more effective exploration of trust vulnerability has been hindered due to the lack of consideration of risk sources and types of information. This study extended the investigation of asymmetry to both social and natural risk under experiential and descriptive decisions. Using the trust game as the decision-making paradigm and money as the subject matter, the research employed experimental methods to examine how people perceive and make decisions after being positively and negatively affected by natural and social risks. A total of 286 college students were participated in our study. Study 1 (n = 138) and Study 2 (n = 148) explored asymmetry in experiential and descriptive decision separately. The findings indicated that when considering experiential information, negative information had a greater effect in reducing trust compared to the enhancing effect of positive information (t = -1.95, p = 0.050). Moreover, the study revealed that negative information had a stronger negative impact in the context of social risks rather than natural risks (t = -3.26, p = 0.002), suggesting that trust is vulnerable both internally and externally. Conversely, when considering descriptive information, the effect of both positive and negative information on trust was symmetrical, and the impact of negative information was less significant compared to that of natural risks, indicating that trust has a certain level of resilience (t = 2.25, p = 0.028). The study emphasizes the importance of refining risk sources and information characteristics in complex scenarios in order to improve understanding of trust enhancement and repair.

Immunizing customers against negative brand-related information

In today’s connected market, brands are more likely than ever to face negative press that can put their customer relationships to the test. Building and fortifying positive aspects of the brand-customer relationship (such as brand commitment, brand love and self-brand connections) may ward off some of the impact of negative information on customers, but this does not always provide full protection. Even customers who love a brand can turn against it when negative information enters the picture. Considering this, the current study provides an exploratory investigation into a new way to build up customer resilience that would otherwise not be formed simply by strengthening positive attributes of the customer-brand relationship. It argues that brands can strengthen their customers’ immunity to negative brand-related information by using an immunity metric (i.e., merely asking customers to reflect on their immunity makes them more resilient to actual negative information in the future). The construct of immunity has the dual benefit of being diagnostic of relationship strength, as well as acting as an immunizing agent. We test this effect and the process underlying it using three pilot studies, three multi-method studies, and interviews with customers and managers across different contexts. By doing so, the study establishes the theoretical and practical value of customer immunity to negative information and makes critical conceptual and pragmatic contributions to the existing body of customer research.

Право на защиту от негативного информационного воздействия в сети Интернет: теоретико-правовой аспект

The article substantiates the need to recognize the right to protection against negative information impact as a fundamental right, or its separation from the right to privacy. The state of the current legal regulation of legal relations on the Internet related to the dissemination of information is investigated. Attention is paid to the problem of striking a balance between human and civil rights and freedoms, on the one hand, and public safety, on the other. The existing legal norms establishing mechanisms to combat harmful information on the Internet are analyzed. It is recommended to consolidate the concept of negative information impact. It is proposed to divide the negative information impact on the Internet into two groups. The first group would include information that has a deleterious effect both on relations within society in general (extremist materials, information aimed at inciting hatred, inciting violence, etc.) and on citizens’ health and development (information aimed at driving a citizen to suicide, etc.). The second group is proposed to include undesirable information that attracts the attention of a person against his or her will. The positive and negative features of the experience of the European Union countries in the regulation of legal relations in the Internet are noted. The importance of enshrining in the legislation of the Russian Federation the concept of the right to protection from negative information impact is substantiated. The mechanism of realization of the right to protection from negative information impact through the assessment by law enforcement bodies of the legislation for the presence of potential disproportionate interference of information in the life of individuals and society is proposed. The provisions of the current domestic legislation as well as the doctrinal works on the subject were used as the sources for the study.

Optimal Control for Positive and Negative Information Diffusion Based on Game Theory in Online Social Networks

In online social networks, information diffusion presents a complicated dynamic process that accompanies users' lives, in which the link between multi-information symbiosis and conflict is frequently overlooked. We investigate two aspects that influence the process of diffusion by examining the phenomena of information dissemination between individuals and the general environment in online social networks. To characterize that complicated process, an effective model of positive and negative information diffusion based on evolutionary game theory is developed. To reduce the impact of negative information on the network ecosystem as much as possible while increasing the propagation of positive information, real-time control mechanisms are provided, and a corresponding optimal problem of control resource allocation is constructed. Considering some special circumstances that cannot monitor the diffusion process in real time, the pulse control strategies are offered. The efficiency of control systems is validated by theoretical evidence and experiments, and the impact of various factors on information dispersion is examined. The work will contribute to network management by providing a theoretical framework for understanding and managing the distribution of diverse types of information.

Impact of the nurse-related information through social media use on undergraduate nursing students’ professional identity in nursing: A mixed-methods study

AimTo understand the impact of nurse-related information, through social media usage on undergraduate nursing students’ professional identity. BackgroundPrevious research has addressed professional knowledge and practice that affect the development of undergraduate nursing students’ professional identities. As an increasingly crucial factor in the internet age, social media needs to be explored in-depth for its influence on the professional identity in nursing. DesignSequential explanatory mixed method was used in this study. MethodsIn this quantitative study, participants (N = 698) completed an e-questionnaire survey between June and July of 2020. The relationship between main variables was analyzed by linear regression using SPSS 20.0. Then, face-to-face semi-structured and audio-recorded interviews were carried out among participants (N = 16) between January and March of 2021. ResultsThe quantitative findings indicated that the mean score of professional identity was 93.07 ± 11.96 in participants. The results of the linear regression showed that the year in school, whether nursing was the first choice, online time per day, frequency of reading official accounts related nursing on WeChat and appraisal of the online nurse-related information and so on explained 49.0 % of the variance in professional identity. Four major themes emerged from the qualitative study: 1) increased concern; 2) few and non-professional information; 3) encouraged by positive information; 4) limited impact of negative information. ConclusionsNurse-related information on social media has the potential to have an impact on undergraduate nursing students’ professional identity. Nursing educators should guide undergraduate nursing students to use social media appropriately and assist them in developing their professional identity with it.

The article deals with the topical and underdeveloped problem of the psychological resistance of policeofficers to negative information and psychological impact. A theoretical review of the sources of destructive influence in the conditions of modern society and the degree of their influence on law enforcement officers is given. The author considers the scientific novelty and practical significance of the study of information and psychological stability ofpolice officers using innovative psychodiagnostic methods in order to increase the efficiency of police work and the quality of the system of police psychological support.The subject of the study is the psychodynamic mechanisms that ensure the psychological resistance of police officers to the negative information and psychological impact. The methodological basis of the study, along with the general scientific principles and principles of the development of the psyche in behavior and activity, is the I-structural sychodynamic model of the personality of G. Ammon and the concept of values of S. Schwartz. From the standpoint of the modern psychodynamic (psychoanalytic) approach, psychological resistance to negative information impact is considered as the degree of predominance of a constructive self-identity over a destructive-deficient one, as well as the dominance of humanistic values in the structure of value orientations of police officers. As a hypothesis of the study, it was suggested that the psychological resistance of police officers to negative informational and psychological impact is due to a number of intentional and psychodynamic characteristics of the individual, among which the qualities of self-identity (constructiveness, destructiveness, deficiency) and dominant values play a leading role.

Negative Information Measurement at AI Edge: A New Perspective for Mental Health Monitoring

The outbreak of the corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has caused serious harm to people’s physical and mental health. Due to the serious situation of the epidemic, a lot of negative energy information increases people’s psychological burden. However, effective interventions against mental health problems are not in abundance. To address such challenges, in this article, we propose the concept of negative information to describe information that has a negative impact on people’s mental health. To achieve the measurement of negative information, the level of mental health inversely measures the degree of negative information. Specifically, we design a system to measure the negative information used to monitor the mental health state of the user under the impact of negative information. The cognition of mental health is realized based on the intelligent algorithm deployed on the edge cloud, and the needs of users can be responded to in real time in practical applications. Finally, we use real collected dataset to verify the influence of negative information. The experiments show that the system can achieve negative information measurement and provide an effective countermeasure for solving mental health problems during a pandemic situation.

Legal regulation of liability for offenses related to inducement to suicide: Domestic and foreign experience

In this work, a team of authors tried to analyze the current state of legal regulation of acts related to suicide under Russian and foreign criminal legislation. For this, historical, comparative legal, comparative and systemic-structural methods were used. The study reflects the evolution of beliefs about suicide. It is noted that the legislation of more than 160 countries contains provisions on liability for criminal involvement in the suicide of another person. More than 38 legal systems do not mention suicide as a criminal institution. Particular attention is paid to five groups of crimes associated with suicide. The first group includes responsibility for attempted suicide, which is punishable in more than 24 countries around the world. The following contains a wide list of acts related to the inducement of suicidal behavior in the form of: driving to suicide or attempted suicide, inducement to commit suicide (incitement) or assistance in committing it (assistance, aiding, advice, consultation). The third group is made up of norms that consider these acts as one of the types of murder or incitement to it. The fourth group contains corpus delicti with responsibility for disseminating information about methods of committing suicide, promoting suicide and public calls for its implementation. The last group contains privileged compounds with responsibility for euthanasia. The article reveals the features of new types of criminal activity carried out by spreading suicidal ideology on the Internet, persuading children and adolescents to commit suicide by negative information impact and drawing them into computer games that pose a threat to life and health. The article reflects the relationship of suicide with cyberbullying, cyber-harassment, as well as with the illegal activities of destructive criminal organizations (sects), extremism and terrorism. The necessity of further improvement of criminal law mechanisms for protecting individuals from criminal encroachments and anti-suicidal measures is substantiated.

Conceptual and categorical apparatus of information security of Ukraine in ensuring national security

The article examines the main concepts of information security of Ukraine, which affect national security, taking into account the existing conditions. The beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine forced our entire country not only to go into martial law, but also to radically change the tactics of actions in order to preserve its integrity. The insidiousness of the enemy lies not only in the invasion, but also in the peculiarities of the struggle, which is reflected in the spread of false information. Thus, the enemy uses the tactics of a hybrid war, in which, in addition to cruise missiles, armed offensives, and psychological pressure, citizens of not only temporarily occupied territories are subjected. Due to active attempts of information attacks, one of the main threats to information security is disinformation of the entire society. World trends indicate that the active deepening of the spheres of professional activity, education, science, and technology is connected with the dynamic development of social life. The current state of information technology development should correspond to the dynamics of the development of state and private information structures. As a result, Ukraine actively implements all requirements for providing all spheres of life with highly qualified personnel in the field of information provision. However, the enemy's active attempts to attack information resources for their own purposes force us to examine the concept of information security from another angle. Negative informational influence occurs due to the use of the latest technologies of influence through the dissemination of known false information that causes internal conflicts of a national and religious nature, undermines the faith of citizens in state administration, promotes the beginning of internal armed conflicts, violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state. Timely detection of negative information impact requires scientific substantiation of the concept of information security and the ability to assess all possible threats and impacts in order to minimize their consequences. The relevance of using such an approach is due to the search and application of current models for the detection of informational influences.

The Concepts of Aggressive Information Impact through the Lens of Internet Users’ Worldview Security

This article is devoted to the forensic analysis of the factors (cyberthreats) determining a negative information impact on recipients’ worldview in the Internet environment (changes in values, emotional perceptions, and expressions of will, etc.). Findings are founded on the concepts of deviant and delinquent speech behavior, the authors also outline definitions of criminogenic, aggressive, destructive, harmful, conflictogenic, and discrediting (defamatory) information and define the semantic field ‘destructiveness of information impact’. The research is based on an interdisciplinary legal and linguistic approach and uses methodology of information law (cyberlaw) and forensic speech science (forensic linguistics) for integral examination of aggressive information products (that are threatening worldview security of Internet communication) in several ways: 1) as speech actions related to law violations (verbal components that reflect actus reus of crimes, administrative offences, and civil torts); 2) as a result of communication activity; 3) as a source of forensically valuable information. The article covers such worldview security threats as defamation; libel; insult; propaganda of drugs, pornography, gambling, violence and cruelty, murder, autodestructiveness (including suicide), extremism (including terrorism); cyberbullicide; cybersuicide; cybergrooming; sexting; sex blackmail; doxing; outing; faking; astroturfing; cybertrolling; flaming; cyberbullying; cybermobbing; harassment; impersonation; exclusion (ostracism); stigmatization; cyberstalking; threats; hating; ‘happy slapping’, etc. The authors formulated the list of offenses, entailing the commitment of criminogenic and conflictogenic speech actions (in accordance with the current Russian civil, administrative and criminal legislation), as well as the list of types of information prohibited or restricted in distribution as harmful to the health and development of children (according to the current Russian legislation) are of urgent applied significance

INFORMATIONAL SECURITY IN A GLOBAL SOCIETY

Background. In modern conditions, information is not just a technical category. The penetration of the latest technologies into all spheres of life has turned information into an economic category, which has become one of the most essential components of the functioning of the market and, at the same time, a regulator of economic processes. Therefore, interest in the problems of international information security is growing, both for the international community, the state and its regions as a whole, and separately for sectors of the economy, for institutions, for individuals. Analysis of recent research and publications hasshown that the issues of interaction between information and international information security, as well as with the economy, remain unresolved. An important issue is the analysis of information security conditions in the framework of modern world markets and globalization processes, the impact of the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic on the world economy. The aimof the articleis to consider the features of ensuring information security in the conditions of the Ukrainian economy, as well as to identify the nature of the transformation of international information security. Materials and methods. In the course of the research, the methods of analysis and synthesis, abstraction, systematization, identification, classification, comparison and generalization were used. Results. Despite the existence of a lot of theoretical and applied research in the field of information management technologies, the problem of a model description of the main characteristics of information interactions in the context of ensuring information security in organizational and economic systems remains very relevant. Based on the results of this study, the place of the information system in the enterprise management contour is shown, the logical connections of the documents of the information security management system within the framework of the international standard ISO/IEC 27000 are revealed, the problems of international information security that need to be addressed in the context of globalization are identified. The solution of these issues will contribute to the rational restructuring of the sphere of informatization and information policy of the state. Conclusion. It is proved that in Ukraine, the insufficient level of informatization and constant delays in solving the problems of information security and international information security, as well as the negative information impact, lead to huge losses, a slowdown in socio-economic development and a decrease in competitiveness at the world level. To prevent this, a rational restructuring of the sphere of informatization and information policy of Ukraine is necessary with the involvement of international support and the active participation of our state in the transformational processes of international information security to counter information threats using modern methods and legislation in this area. The outlined conceptual provisions require further scientific research of the methodological aspects of economics and management in the context of the transformation of the national economy under the influence of globalization processes and the place of the digital economy in it, the prospects for the use of new methods and management tools in the era of digital economy. How Negative Is Negative Information.

Daily, we face a plenty of negative information that can profoundly affect our perception and behavior. During devastating events such as the current COVID-19 pandemic, negative messages may hinder reasoning at individual level and social decisions in the society at large. These effects vary across genders in neurotypical populations (being more evident in women) and may be even more pronounced in individuals with neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression. Here, we examine how negative information impacts reasoning on a social perception task in females with breast cancer, a life-threatening disease. Two groups of patients and two groups of matched controls (NTOTAL = 80; median age, 50 years) accomplished a psychometrically standardized social cognition and reasoning task receiving either the standard instruction solely or additional negative information. Performance substantially dropped in patients and matched controls who received negative information compared to those who did not. Moreover, patients with negative information scored much lower not only compared with controls but also with patients without negative information. We suggest the effects of negative information are mediated by the distributed brain networks involved in affective processing and emotional memory. The findings offer novel insights on the impact of negative information on social perception and decision making during life-threatening events, fostering better understanding of its neurobiological underpinnings.

Multiple-Attribute Decision-Making Using Fermatean Fuzzy Hamacher Interactive Geometric Operators

Fermatean fuzzy set (FFS) is a more efficient, flexible, and generalized model to deal with uncertainty, as compared to intuitionistic and Pythagorean fuzzy models. This research article presents a novel multiple-attribute decision-making (MADM) technique based on FFS. Aggregation operators (AOs), for example, Dombi, Einstein, and Hamacher, are frequently being used in the MADM process and are considered useful tools for evaluating the given alternatives. Among these, one of the most effective is the Hamacher operator. The salient feature of this operator is that it reduces the impact of negative information and provides more accurate results. Motivated by the primary characteristics of the Hamacher operator, we apply Hamacher interactive aggregation operators based on FFSs to determine the best alternative. Using Hamacher’s norm operations, we introduce some new geometric operators, namely, Fermatean fuzzy Hamacher interactive weighted geometric (FFHIWG) operator, Fermatean fuzzy Hamacher interactive ordered weighted geometric (FFHIOWG) operator, and Fermatean fuzzy Hamacher interactive hybrid weighted geometric (FFHIHWG) operator. Some important results and properties of the proposed AOs are discussed, and to achieve the optimal alternative, the proposed MADM technique is carried out in a real-life application of the medical field. An algorithm of the proposed technique is also developed. The significance of the proposed method is that Fermatean fuzzy Hamacher interactive geometric (FFHIG) operators deal with the relationship among belongingness degree (BD) and nonbelongingness degree (NBD) of the objects, which perform a crucial role in decision-making (DM). At last, to show the exactness and validity of the proposed work, a comparative analysis of the proposed model and the existing models is presented.

Development of information hazard awareness in primary school learners through due structuring of pedagogical activities

Problem and purpose. The interaction of schoolchildren through virtual communication, with simultaneous transformation of social experience into individual, conditioned the need to explore the phenomenon associated with the exchange and dissemination of information. The purpose of the research is to reveal the typology of information hazard, to study the level of awareness of schoolchildren’s information hazard, to structure the pedagogical activities in a way to minimise the learners’ behavioural risk relative to own safety. Methods. The research covered the schoolchildren of the 1st to 4th years of study – experimental (221 pupils) and control (202 pupils) streams. The experimental activity comprised research of the schoolchildren’s level of awareness of information hazard, with subsequent distribution of the learners into groups of high, average, below-average and low awareness levels, following the obtained data. The algorithm of the educational experiment provided for pedagogical measurement at its first stage, without targeted intervention of pedagogues in the educational process, and subsequently at the second stage, after the introduction of the modular course "Fundamentals of information security for children", in the educational process. The comparison of the data obtained at the first and second stages was made using the Student’s t-test – the method of statistical data processing, as well as the method of descriptive statistics designed to determine the average intensity of the attribute. Results. The experiment showed positive changes in the learners’ awareness of information hazard after the systematic work with them – teaching the information handling methods and techniques. Significant differences were revealed in the experimental and control streams according to the Student’s t-test, with the following t ≥ tcrit parameters: “communicative hazard” (t = 8.595), “personal hazard” (t = 8.375), “psychological hazard” (t = 7.064), “behavioural hazard” (t = 2.442), “spiritual and moral hazard” (t = 8.028), “resistance hazard” (t = 3.975). The increment in the average value of the schoolchildren’s awareness of informational hazard in the experimental streams was: communicative (0.72), personal (0.48), behavioural (0.37), psychological (0.48), spiritual and moral (0,45), psychophysical (0.39), resistance-specific (0.41). Conclusion. The authorial content in identifying the typology of informational hazard relative to children has a practical significance in educational activities. The schoolchildren’s awareness of the need to choose secure information, their independent decision-making on limited time spent at the computer or with the phone will help to eliminate the negative information impact, to create safe information environment for children. The evidentiality of the experiment can serve as an argument for solving the problem of information dependence of the young generation and the influence of various information resources in the social media.

Formation of Public Opinion on Organ Donation in Ukraine

The main purpose of the research is to analyze public opinion on organ donation in Ukraine among the population aged 18-44. Systematization of literary sources and approaches to the issue of organ donation indicates that there is a shortage of organ donors in Ukraine. The relevance of the decision on this scientific problem is that public awareness campaigns need to develop the transplant system in Ukraine. The research methods are used: questionnaire, statistical analysis, analysis of the legal framework, and comparison. The research object is the population aged 18-44 living in the Sumy region. The paper presents the results of a study on respondents’ level of awareness and attitude toward organ donation. An online survey of young people aged 18-44 living in the Sumy region was conducted on 4-11 February 2021 to obtain opinions on organ donation. A sample is 196 people. The idea of developing organ donation in Ukraine was supported by 79.1% of respondents. Moreover, 19% of respondents have not yet decided on their attitude. Only 20.9% of respondents believe that Ukraine has highly qualified doctors and appropriate equipment, and other answers indicate a low level of trust in medicine. Most of the negative information about donations comes from television and social networks. 44.2% of respondents are not yet ready to fill in the consent for the donation of certain bodies, 48.8% – gave a positive answer, and 7% will not fill in the consent at all. In general, young people living in Sumy believe that the transplant system should be implemented in Ukraine because it is an important component of saving people, and they want to save other people’s lives. However, distrust in doctors’ qualifications and the impact of negative information on television and social networks are not yet ready to complete a donation agreement. The research empirically confirms and theoretically proves that a group of people has not defined their attitude to organ donation. It is expedient to direct awareness campaigns to them to promote organ donation in Ukraine. The research results can be helpful for organizations that promote organ donation in Ukraine.

Methods of choosing a strategy to counter the information impact on the structure of the virtual community

The article examines the methods of counteracting the negative information impact through virtual communities of social networks. The general recommendations on construction of model of system of monitoring of virtual communities of social networks, using already existing scientific researches are offered. Three strategies of influence on the structure of the information environment of virtual communities and their shortcomings are investigated. The analysis of the result of using the considered strategies on already existing researches is carried out. Graphs of changes in the indicator of information threat of the process of functioning of the virtual community depending on the strategy of influencing the structure of the internal information environment are obtained. The structure of the sequence of development of methods and algorithms for assessing information threats of virtual communities in social networks is considered.

Algorithm of the automated events classification process in the information space

The article defines the algorithm and details the sequential tasks for building an effective model of automated classification of events in the information space. On the eve and during the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the consequences of external negative information influence were noticeable. Therefore, the organization and implementation of counteraction to such influence is urgent. An important component of this activity is the classification (clustering) of information events in the information space in order to further analyze them and form proposals for decision-making to counteract the negative information impact. Given the fact that in the global information space and, in particular, the information space of the state in the interests of counteracting such influence, it is necessary to constantly process a significant amount of information, so the task of improving the efficiency of this process is provided by automating its components. The algorithm of the automated classification process is based on a number of consecutive tasks, namely: data retrieval, preelection of messages ("rough" classification), saving pre-selected messages in the database, determining a set of indicators for automated classification of information events, pre-processing a single document (indexing), distribution of messages by criteria by categories ("accurate" classification), presentation of information in a convenient form (visualization), saving the results of classification in the database. The proposed material reveals the content of these tasks. The proposed algorithm will serve to automatically divide information events (messages) of different nature into categories (classes) in order to increase the efficiency of assessing the level of negative information impact on target audiences for timely (proactive) response to its manifestations.

Indicators of psychological stability of the individual to sociocultural threats and negative information impact

Introduction. The article analyzes the problem of psychological stability of the individual to socio-cultural threats and negative information impact. As social problems become more acute, the topic of personal security and resistance to emerging threats and risks takes an increasing place in the scientific literature. Today we can observe various violations of the processes of socio-cultural identification, which reduce the adaptive potential of the individual. The reverse side of accessibility in the global information environment is an increase in the degree of danger, the emergence of new risk factors and threats of information and psychological impact. Of particular concern are the facts of Russian youth joining terrorist groups, as well as the facts of youth involvement in destructive protest movements and actions.Materials and methods. The following methods were used for the preparation of this article; theoretical analysis of Russian and international literature, study of scientific articles and publications on the topic, overview of results from Russian and international studies, content analysis.Results. Approaches to determining the content of the category of psychological stability of a person and its various aspects are considered: emotional stability, moral stability, moral stability, stability of behavior forms, resistance to addictive factors, and socio-cultural stability. Identify invariant indicators that determine the psychological stability of the individual in various contexts of countering socio-cultural threats and negative information impact: socio-cultural identity based on views, beliefs, attitudes consistent with moral norms and spiritual values; motivation of the individual to self-actualization, success, openness and commitment to society; subjective well-being and resilience; critical thinking and the ability to predict risks and threats; possession of constructive coping strategies; adaptive personal potential expressed in mastering self-regulation methods that ensure successful adaptation to a changing socio-cultural environment.Discussion and Conclusions. The conducted theoretical research allowed us to conclude that the psychological stability of a person is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon, which is revealed in the moral, socio-psychological and system-activity perspective. It is concluded that the task of forming psychological stability and personal adaptive potential should be updated in the educational system, including the formation of knowledge about oneself as a person, about their psychological capabilities and mechanisms of self-regulation, and the explanation of moral norms and values.

Information security of the state as an element of social culture

The relationship of information security and information culture is examined, on the basis of which information security is studied as an element of social culture. The following definition is formulated: information security – the condition of the information environment that ensures the satisfaction of the information needs of the subjects of information relations, information security and the protection of subjects from negative information impact. Information security is closely related to the information culture, which means the ability to effectively use its information resources and means of information communication and also apply for these purposes the advanced achievements in the field of information resources development and information technology.It is noted that the information culture also has an objective (the culture of ownership of information for something) and subjective (the subject of ownership is a person, society) essence, and the personality is both a subject and an object of information culture.The concept of a "culture of informational self-defense" is singled out separately, combines the features of the material and ideal worldview of a person and forms his informational culture both in terms of information and professional competence culture, and in terms of information security culture. The culture of informational self-defense determines the individual’s ability to handle information without harming themselves and other participants in informational relations; the ability to withstand information threats and maintain mental health in the face of negative information impact.It is established that in the context of changing sociocultural values and taking into account the indicated causal relationships, the solution to the problem of ensuring the information security of an individual should be of a comprehensive systemic nature and carried out at different levels.
